Trina Braden

Trina joins the Cobb Atlanta Family with many years of coaching experience both at the club and collegiate levels. As a player, Braden (Keeton) was a Silver medalist on the Olympic Festival volleyball east team where she served as team captain. Collegiately, Braden was a two-time captain at Northern Arizona where she was First Team All-Northwest Region and the school’s Female Athlete of the Year in 1993. A team captain in 1993, Braden is currently second in the NAU record books for block assists in a single match. In high school, Braden was a four-sport star, playing volleyball, softball, basketball, and ran track. She was named the state's highest high school honor in 1989 as All-Arizona Female Athlete of the Year. 

 

As a coach, Trina spent four years at the UIniversity of West Georgia transforming their program. Prior to coming to Carrollton, Braden (formerly Keeton) was the head coach at Embry Riddle (Daytona Beach, Fla.), leading the Eagles for eight seasons. During that span, Braden’s teams posted an overall record of 175-123, and a NAIA Sun Conference record of 66-36. Braden's Eagles made seven NAIA Regional Appearances, had five 2-win seasons, had 28 players named All-Florida Sun Conference, 15 NAIA All-Region selections, and 2 NAIA Honorable Mention All-Americans. In 1997, Braden led the Eagles to a 33 win season, the program's best single-season win total and top winning percentage of .846 and Embry-Riddle's first NAIA Tournament berth. Braden had been a successful coach of club programs in Flordia, Arizona, and Georgia. She garners two National Championship titles. 14 and Under AAU Premier National Champions (2017), 14 and Under USAV 2nd Place Finish (National Division; 2017), Qualified 2X's at the Open Level (2019), and various other tournament wins.
