Taisa started playing volleyball at Kell High School as an OH and Libero.This is Taisa's 7th year coaching and started coaching in 2007 for Cobb Atlanta as the 16s Assistant Coach and setter clinic assistant. Upon graduating from high school, Taisa played Women's Club Volleyball at the University of Georgia for 3 years, while helping out with clinics at local Athens, Ga high schools. After completing her degree, Taisa moved to Savannah, Georgia. She began the middle school volleyball program at Richmond Hill Middle School, and in its third year, helped lead it to an undefeated season winning the Region Coastal Empire Championship. In 2016, Taisa was appointed the Head Varsity Coach at Richmond Hill High School for volleyball. In 2016 and 2017, her team placed third in the region and went to Sweet Sixteen in 2017. She also coached 13s and 14s Club Volleyball teams in Savannah with Volley One and Club Savannah during those 5 years. She moved back to Cobb and is eager to work with Cobb Atlanta again!

Taisa's coaching philosophy is athlete centered, which emphasizes the importance of helping players develop confidence in their athletic and overall ability on and off the court. Players will learn fundamental skills, self-discipline, grit and leadership. As a coach, Taisa believes that if an athlete is giving his or her best effort, then he or she will be successful, regardless of the outcome of the immediate competition. She strives to focus on helping athletes learn how to compete in all situations by giving them the tools to do their personal best to accomplish success in any aspect of their life.
