Shelli Sherman

Coach Profile

Coach Shelli has been playing volleyball since middle school. She went to North Cobb High School where she was the libero her junior and senior years. In her HS senior season, she was selected to the Marietta Daily Journal All-Conference Volleyball Team as an honorable mention. After high school, she attended DIII Agnes Scott College (2011-2015) where she majored in psychology and played volleyball. Shelli was a 3-year captain, All-Freshman Team, 4-time All-Academic player, 3-time All-Conference Player, Libero of the Year in 2013 for the conference and led the school to their first volleyball conference championship, as well as being selected for a few All-Tournament teams throughout her career. All four years at Agnes Scott she led her team in digs, as well as leading her team in aces her last two seasons. Shelli was also nationally ranked at the DIII level for digs per set. She currently holds the record for career digs and most digs in 3, 4, and 5 sets for her school. 

After undergrad at Agnes Scott, she attended Murray State University where she received her MS in Experimental Psychology with a focus on Sports Psychology. 

As a coach, Shelli has been coaching either at the school level (JV, Varsity, Middle School) or the club level since 2011. She was the 14-2 head coach of a Northern Kentucky team to win the Pioneer Region, qualifying them for the 2018 USAV Nationals where they finished in the top 20 in the division. Shelli has coached teams in Atlanta, Western Kentucky, Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati, and now in Marietta with her first year back at CAJ since being a player here. 

She is looking forward to a great season as the assistant coach for the 13-1 Travel team! 

Outside of volleyball, Shelli is a strategy and performance analyst for IHG.
