Volleyball has been a passion of Jessica's since she first discovered the sport in 7th grade! She has been playing for 16 years and coaching for six years. Her senior year of high school, her team finished 8th in the state of GA. She walked on her freshman year at Oglethorpe University in Brookhaven. Her sophomore and junior year of college, she played at Minot State in North Dakota; and her senior year she played on a competitive club team at Georgia State University. After graduating college, she moved to Japan. There she played on the Misawa Air Base team for three years. Playing overseas, especially against Japanese teams was one of the best experiences of her volleyball career! She started coaching while she was in Japan and fell in love with the sport all over again!

Jessica's coaching philosophy is building a strong foundation and helping players focus on their strengths while improving their weaknesses at the same time. She instills the necessary skills to success in the sport by teaching players the importance of repetition and discipline. Jessica's coaching motto is "Practice like you play!" She believes that every second a player is on the court their effort should be the same as it would be if they were playing for the championship!
