Coach Profile

Years with Cobb Atlanta:

Safe Sport, Heads Up Concussion

"I started playing volleyball for fun with family then made a team when I played in middle school. The coach was so encouraging and taught me skills that helped me improve enough to make the local Junior Olympic team. I played JOs for five years and was a starter at Virginia State University for all four years. While at Virginia State, I received Rookie of the Year for the CIAA and the university in 2004 season. In the 2007 season, I broke a CIAA record for digs in a 3-game match and helped my team finish well in the conference tournament. I am a proud mother of one son and I currently attend Life University as a full-time chiropractic student. My bachelors degree is in Biology/Pre-Medicine and my masters degree is in Sports Injury Management. I love helping people perform at their best and see them with the ability to do whatever they set their mind to accomplish. My purpose in life is to help people achieve their goals with health/wellness/performance on and off the court. I hope to inspire others to believe in themselves even when a goal seems out of reach!"

Crystal states, "I love coaching volleyball because I want to give back to a younger generation what my coaches gave me. I ultimately became a successful student-athlete because my coaches helped increase my volleyball IQ and taught me how to perform and move at my best regardless of body composition for the position. I hope to be a coach that helps other athletes defy odds for whatever position or goal they want to achieve."
