Amie Held

Coach Profile

Amie Held joins the Cobb Atlanta Family with several years of playing and coaching experience both at the club and collegiate levels. Held is currently in her second year as an Assistant Coach at Kennesaw State University where she helped the program win the ASUN Championship in 2019. Prior to KSU, Held exhausted her NCAA eligibility with the Georgia State Beach Volleyball team from 2017-2018 while working toward her Master's Degree in Sport Administration. She helped the Panthers remain ranked top-15 in the country during her two seasons at GSU and was named captain her final season. During her time at Georgia State, Held also served as the Georgia State Indoor Volleyball graduate assistant during the fall of 2018. 

Held became a Georgia State Panther after being a Northern Iowa Panther for four seasons with the Indoor Volleyball team from 2013-2016. Starting at libero her first two and a half seasons, Held finished her career at UNI as a 6-rotation outside hitter. Held recorded over 2,000 digs throughout her career and received numerous All-Conference Honors including three-time first-team MVC scholar-athlete honoree as well as two-time first-team all-MVC honoree. Amie received her Bachelor's Degree in Movement & Exercise Science: Sports Psychology with a minor in coaching. During her time in northeast Iowa, Held coached club volleyball for four years with Club Iowa Juniors (CIA) and coached several summer camps for UNI and surrounding high schools. 

Amie Held is from Festus, MO where she was a four-sport athlete (soccer, track, basketball, volleyball) growing up. She attended St. Pius X High School where she led her volleyball team to their first ever State Championship not only in volleyball, but all sports. Held is the daughter of Scott and Paula and younger sister to Amanda (Held) Bottila.
