When asked why she loves coaching, Alex said," I love coaching volleyball because I love the game and my passion is being able to coach and mentor young women to excel at something that means so much to me. Volleyball is a sport that has allowed me to meet new friends, learn discipline, have fun doing something I love, and grow both mentally and physically and I think that is something everyone needs!".

Favorite Sports Quote: “I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” Michael Jordan

Coaching Philosophy: I am a Coach because of my passion for the sport, and my ability to reach others through teaching, training, and mentoring. It is my responsibility to set the tone and the pace for the environment I wish to create. My goal is always to foster the growth of my players through the numerous opportunities I am fortunate to provide. I will mold a group of individuals to communicate, to be responsible and to hold themselves accountable. I believe in nurturing their dreams to be the best on and off the court”

  • Our daughter learned so much from Coach Alex. Not only is she great with the girls, she treats them all with respect, and she commands it in return. She has an extreme amount of knowledge of the game, which she patiently and calmly shares, no matter how high the pressure may be at the moment. She creates an environment of zero drama, which is not always easy with a team of teenage girls. We’ve always said that our daughter is here for life lessons, and she just happens to play volleyball while learning. Coach Alex definitely helped in that regard.
