Alaina Walker begins her first year with Cobb Atlanta Juniors! A Georgia native, Alaina was a three-sport student-athlete and 3-time state champion at St. Pius X Catholic High School. She continued her multi-sport career at the collegiate level, playing volleyball and basketball at Converse College and Birmingham-Southern College. A blocking specialist, she finished 2nd in the nation across all divisions in blocks per set in her sophomore volleyball season.  She holds bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Religious Studies, as well as a master's degree in Positive Psychology. 

After completing her playing career, Alaina began coaching as a varsity assistant for basketball and volleyball at the Westminster Schools in Atlanta, where the teams went to the state finals each of the 7 years she coached there, with a state championship won in 2016. In 2020, she signed on as the men's assistant volleyball coach at Life University for the program's second season, and they finished with a conference record of 7-1 before having the season ended by the pandemic. Outside of coaching, she has served in athletic administration for 9 years, currently as the Director of Academic Support & Student-Athlete Development at Life University. 

She is the head coach for the 18-Elite team, and looks forward to a season filled with growth and solid competition!
