Travel Team Fitness

Starting the week of December 1st, Each travel team is required to attend two fitness sessions on-site at Cobb Atlanta. One session will be attached to each team's practice. These sessions are listed on the team calendar under "team fitness". 


For the second session, each player will choose a time that works best for them each week. These sessions are listed as "Travel Team Additional Fitness" on each team's calendar. Players are required to sign up for their additional fitness session. There are only 20 spots available for each one. If a player shows up for a session and is NOT signed up they will not be able to participate in the session.


If a player misses a team fitness session they will need to make this session up. On each team's calendar, there are sessions listed as "Make-up Fitness", these sessions are used to make up for a missed Team Fitness and not be used for the additional fitness session. Players must sign up for Make-Up Fitness Sessions.


Just as players are expected to attend their practice, they are also expected to attend fitness. Please let me know if your player is not going to be present at their team fitness session or if they have signed up for an additional session and are no longer going to make it. If they are not present, we want to make sure they are safe and nothing has happened to them. I encourage you to communicate with me just as you would communicate with their coach. 


When players come to fitness they are required to wear cover shorts over their spandex. If a player does not have cover shorts, they will be excused from the session and have to make up that session. 


Fitness requirements will change if a team plays in a 3-day tournament or during school breaks. Each month I will post how many sessions are required each week for that month for each team.


Below I have listed out how many fitness sessions are required for December:



Week of December 1st - 2 Sessions


Week of December 8th - 2 Sessions


Week of December 15th - 2 Sessions


Week of December 22nd & 29th - 0 Sessions

Total December Sessions = 6 Sessions


** Holiday Break - Each player is required to complete two take-home fitness sessions each week of the Holiday Break (December 22nd-January 4th). They will be required to submit a google survey each time they complete a workout at home Take home fitness workouts and the survey are linked in the player menu on the Cobb Atlanta website. There are fitness sessions and fitness level retesting that will be offered at Cobb Atlanta during the Holiday Break. These sessions can count towards a make-up fitness session or a "banked" session for further use. These sessions may also count towards a take-home fitness workout for the break.
