Performance Training

Jump Training:
Every volleyball athlete has different needs for optimizing their performance. The ability to jump & land correctly & possibly jumping again quickly is a key component in volleyball!

In this session, the athlete will learn the correct way to load the hips & legs & then explode quickly & effectively. They will also learn how to land properly & decrease ground contact time to jump again quickly in all different directions!

Hurry spots are limited! Only 20 spots are available for each session!
Cost: $25/athlete per day OR $200/athlete for all 3 weekends in March (13-15, 20-22, 27-29)

Weight Training & Olympic Lifting:

Strength & power are essential components for every athlete! Learning proper form & technique to reduce the chance of injury is a significant factor when youth athletes begin training with weights.

In this session, the athlete will learn the correct technique on how to lift weights without getting injured, proper form & how to progress at the right pace & weight. The athlete will also learn how to do some basic Olympic lifts, which are vital for developing leg power & strength. Proper technique is essential during these complex movements & this will be taught in this session.

Speed & Agility:
Speed, agility & quickness are some of the most significant & visible components in volleyball performance. Improvement in the ability to react quickly, apply significant force rapidly in the appropriate direction & redirect that force if needed, is the ultimate goal for each athlete.

In this session, the athlete will learn:
*Body control
*Recognition & Reaction
*Acceleration & Deceleration
*Footwork
*Change of Direction
* Stopping
* Sports Specific Drills

Coaches:

Travis Brown, MS, BS, CSCS*D, FAFS, CAFS

Travis has over 20+ years of experience in the sports performance field in the Atlanta & Knoxville areas. He’s worked with thousands of local Atlanta professional, collegiate, high school & youth athletes since 2001.

His background as a collegiate 2 time SEC & National Champion in football at the University of Tennessee continued in graduate school, as he worked with basketball, football, track & golf teams. He continued his career in Atlanta, working with XPE Sports, Pinnacle & Norcross Sports Training Academy, working with over 300 NFL & MLB athletes as well as hundreds of high school & youth athletes. He’s worked with several local volleyball clubs such as Tsunami Volleyball & North Atlanta Volleyball.
