Performance Training

Jump Training:
Every volleyball athlete has different needs for optimizing their performance. The ability to jump & land correctly & possibly jumping again quickly is a key component in volleyball!

In this session, the athlete will learn the correct way to load the hips & legs & then explode quickly & effectively. They will also learn how to land properly & decrease ground contact time to jump again quickly in all different directions!

Weight Training & Olympic Lifting:

Strength & power are essential components for every athlete! Learning proper form & technique to reduce the chance of injury is a significant factor when youth athletes begin training with weights.

In this session, the athlete will learn the correct technique on how to lift weights without getting injured, proper form & how to progress at the right pace & weight. The athlete will also learn how to do some basic Olympic lifts, which are vital for developing leg power & strength. Proper technique is essential during these complex movements & this will be taught in this session.

Speed & Agility:
Speed, agility & quickness are some of the most significant & visible components in volleyball performance. Improvement in the ability to react quickly, apply significant force rapidly in the appropriate direction & redirect that force if needed, is the ultimate goal for each athlete.

In this session, the athlete will learn:

* Sports Specific Drills



Travis Brown, MS, BS, CSCS*D, FAFS, CAFS

Travis has over 20+ years of experience in the sports performance field in the Atlanta & Knoxville areas. He has worked with thousands of local Atlanta professional, collegiate, high school & youth athletes since 2001.

His background as a collegiate 2 time SEC & National Champion in football at the University of Tennessee continued in graduate school, as he worked with basketball, football, track & golf teams. He continued his career in Atlanta, working with XPE Sports, Pinnacle & Norcross Sports Training Academy, working with over 300 NFL & MLB athletes as well as hundreds of high school & youth athletes. He has worked with several local volleyball clubs such as Tsunami Volleyball & North Atlanta Volleyball.

Corey Bridges

Corey graduated from Newnan High School (GA) in 1993. He had won the state championship in baseball and school records in 100 meter and 4x100 meter relay by that time. From 1993-1998, Corey had a scholarship to the University of South Carolina where he played football and ran track all 4 years. During his career, Corey earned the All-American Honors 6 times, ranked #1 in the NCAA 60 meters, was the SEC Champion in the 55 meters, and became the National Runner Up in 60 meters. In addition, Corey set school records in 55 meters, 60 meters, and 100 meters as the Co-Captain of Track & Field Team.

In 1998, Corey signed a free agent contract with NFL’s Minnesota Vikings and in 1999 with the Cleveland Browns, also playing one season in the CFL (Canadian Football League). In 2000, he signed with NFL’s Chicago Bears and was soon allocated by Chicago Bears to NFL Europe where he won the World Bowl with the Berlin Thunders. The next year, he signed with the NFL’s Miami Dolphins. In the 2002-2003 season, he was drafted by Grand Rapid Rampage (Arena Football).

Corey became the Sprint Coach at Marist School in 2005 and the Sprint Coach at Georgia State University in 2006. From 2000-2009, Corey has worked as a Personal Trainer/Speed & Strength Coach. From 2009-2011, Corey worked as a Strength & Conditioning Coach/PT, Professional MMA Team Coach at X3 Sports. His coaching career continued in 2011-2012 as a Speed & Agility Coach at Norcross Soccer Academy. From 2012-2018, Corey was promoted to Director of Speed & Agility at Norcross Sports Training Academy. Simultaneously, Corey worked as a Track & Field Coach at Norcross High School from  2014-2018. In 2012, Corey became the owner and operator at C4-Performance where he remains to this day.
