SRVA Scholarship for Graduating Seniors

New this year: an application for scholarship money from SRVA is available for graduating seniors! Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale, be a current SRVA member in good standing, and be playing, coaching, or officiating during their senior year. Student-athletes are required to submit an essay (500-750 words) entitled "How Volleyball Has Had a Positive Effect on my Life." Click here for more information. The deadline is February 15th at 5pm.

Lil Big South Information

We are so excited for all of our teams competing at Lil Big South 2020! Cobb Atlanta will have a club room since we are the host club. Teams can gather there on their off-hour and store snacks for their team to eat throughout the day. Please make sure the items that are left in the room are minor since the entire club is sharing this room for the weekend. The room will also be unattended and unlocked throughout the day, so please make sure you do not leave any valuables. Our club room will be A313. Please do not bring coolers.

Also, tickets for Lil Big South spectators can be purchased here. It is HIGHLY recommended that you purchase tickets ahead of time.

Points Chase Competition

The Points Chase Competition is an inter-club competition where teams compete against other teams to earn as many points as possible before the Awards Ceremony at the beginning of May.

Team/Individual Photo Order Process

The process for ordering both team and individual photos will be slightly different this year. Rather than submitting a hard copy of a form, ordering and payment will be entirely digital.

 

A brief walkthrough video (just over 2 minutes) details the process for ordering and paying for photos and can be found here. We will share the gallery access code as soon as we receive it from the photographer.

NCAA Bracket Fundraiser Update!

Fitness Level Achievements & Re-Testing

Over the past few weeks, we have been testing players on 6 different exercises: vertical, broad jump, box test, t-drill, touch 6 and push ups.

 

In the fitness area, there are "Fitness Level Boards" displaying the names of players that have achieved the levels thus far. There are also boards in Gym 1 displaying the "Overall Fitness Levels." These levels are designed to not only recognize athletic achievements but to help each player stay motivated throughout the season during fitness sessions or take-home fitness, whichever is applicable to their teams. Using the link below you may also view who achieved levels, club-wide, following the initial testing. As players retest throughout the season, this document will be updated.

Re-Testing:

If you missed the first round of pre-season fitness level testing or want to get retested to see if you have improved in any of the excerises, we are offering opportunities over the holiday break to get re-tested on all 6 exercises. This can also count as a bank fitness but players are only allowed to come one time during Holiday Break!

Player must sign-up ahead of time.

Take Home Fitness - ATL & Premier!

As a member of an ATL or Premier team, each player is required to complete take-home fitness twice each week throughout the season, starting in December. The take-home fitness workout, video showing each exercise, and the survey are all linked on the player menu on the Cobb Atlanta website. 

The survey needs to be filled out each time a workout is completed. There are a few questions to answer about the workout, which should only take a few minutes to complete. 

At the beginning of each month, coaches will "test" each player at the start of the first practice of the month to see if they have been completing their take-home fitness workouts. This test will come directly from what was required from the previous months' workouts. If players have been doing their required workouts at home, they should be able to complete the test with no problems.

If your player is signed up to do on-site fitness at Cobb Atlanta, they will only be required to complete one workout at home each week.

Payment Information

2019-2020 INVOICE

Invoices can be found on each Player Profile once you are logged into the website. Once you click "2019-2020 Invoice" it will connect you to the link that is specific to your player. It will show your remaining balance for the whole season. On the main page, you will see a PDF of the entire invoice for the season so you can see the breakdown of what is owed each month. If you click "Activity", you can then view the payments you've made on the account.

Remember, monthly payments are due on the 15th of the month!

Chiropractic Care

Dr. Nathan Bennett is now seeing patients at Cobb Atlanta. He is the husband of our very own Fitness Coordinator, Kelsey Bennett. Dr. Bennett's hours are Wednesdays evenings and Saturday Mornings.
