2020-2021 Tryout Registration Information

Parents & Players -

We are thrilled to finally announce our tryout dates for the 2020-2021 season!

We have heard your feedback from previous year and will be changing the tryout process this year. In the 13-15s age group the tryouts are listed under "1st day tryout session," meaning to sign up for the time assigned for their "preferred" choice of team type this year (TRAVEL or ATL) or the time that best fits to your schedule. Players will receive a survey a week before tryouts begin that will ask what their preference is between travel and ATL. If you have further questions click the link below for FAQs that will be continuously updated. Due to COVID and your feedback, we will be having smaller groups come in to tryout together for most age groups, we also are having callbacks for most ages instead of the one 3 hour tryout process we have done previous years.

Cobb Atlanta Tryout FAQ

Age groups that will have callbacks:

13 Travel and ATL

14 Travel and ATL

15 Travel and ATL

The Age groups that have the callback option, have 2 options of "1st" day tryouts. We have labeled our tryouts based off of Players' Team Preference for the upcoming year (Travel Preferred or ATL Preferred). If the time that is offered for their team preference conflicts with their schedule, then players sign up for the time that best fits their schedule. The same plan will be run at both sessions so please DO NOT sign up for both sessions. Once "1st" day tryouts are complete, there will be a callback for the invited players, all players invited MUST attend in order to be considered for a team.

Age groups that will not have callbacks:

11/12 Travel and ATL

16 Travel and ATL

17 Travel and ATL

18 Travel and ATL

All Premier (12-15)

** At this time, the Location for Tryouts is TBD**

To keep players safe we are only allowing 50 players per "1st" tryout session to attend, if we fill at capacity, we will look at raising the capacity or holding other sessions, whichever we deem is safer. If your age group only has 1 tryout, the capacity is still 50.

We truly believe this is the best approach for not only our coaching staff to evaluate players efficiently but for our athletes' safety as well!

We have also updated our safety guidelines (Phase IV: Return to Training). We are now entering the front of the building and exiting through the back. Click here to view those guidelines.

As always, please let us know if you have any questions. You can email us at office@cobbatlanta.com.

2020-2021 Teams Offered

We are minimizing the number of teams we are offering this year. This is to ensure that if schools shut down due to COVID, we will be able to run practices through our Cobb Atlanta Gym. If we have the chance to get back into schools, we will add more clinics offered and use outside locations for practices.

Check out our YouTube channel for more information on the teams we are offering!

Travel Teams:

For the 2020-2021 Club season, Cobb Atlanta will offer a travel team option for the ages of 11-18s. Travel Teams will practice 2-3 times a week with tournaments on the weekends. The two practice facilities Cobb Atlanta uses are McCleskey Middle School (4080 Maybreeze Rd Marietta, GA 30066) and Cobb Atlanta Volleyball and Fitness Center (1880 West Oak Pkwy, Ste. 218 Marietta, GA 30062). Travel Teams also attend Fitness 2 times a week--assigned per age group-- and all fitness sessions will take place at Cobb Atlanta.

Teams will travel Nationally and Regionally when they play in tournaments. The tournament schedule is based on what level of team your player makes. The finalized tournament schedule will be released Mid December for the entire season.

ATL Teams:

For the 2020-2021 Club season, Cobb Atlanta will field non-travel teams known as ATL Teams. ATL teams are club teams that will have a limited travel schedule. These teams will have a lesser commitment level, only play tournaments within day-of driving distance and are a lower price point than our travel teams. The two practice facilities Cobb Atlanta ATL program uses are McCleskey Middle School (4080 Maybreeze Rd Marietta, GA 30066) and Cobb Atlanta Volleyball and Fitness Center (1880 West Oak Pkwy, Ste. 218 Marietta, GA 30062). Fitness is not included for ATL players but it is offered for an additional cost.
