New Volley Skills Sessions


Volley Skills is a Cobb Atlanta program for girls and boys that develops and trains the fundamental skills as well as team play. Classes are divided by age and skill level, providing each athlete with as many opportunities as possible to play the ball and learn the game at the right pace. Come join us for a fun and exciting time! 

Sign up for drop-in sessions for $25 if signed up and paid ahead of time, and $30 for walk-ups!

Recruiting Information

Interested in learning more about the Recruiting process for college volleyball? Meet Amie Held, our Recruiting Director!

Amie will be hosting a General Presentation on College Volleyball Recruiting on Saturday, February 29th at 10:30am in the McCleskey Middle School Theatre. This is a fantastic opportunity to get the answers to the basics. All current parents and players are invited to attend!


In addition, Recruiting Q&A sessions for Parents and Players will be held in the Parent/Player Lounge on the following Tuesdays: March 3rd, March 10th, and March 17th from 6:15-6:45pm. Parents and players from any age group/level team are welcome!


Amie will also be hosting Individual Meetings (20 minutes each) for players with more specific questions. These will be on Sundays at 4:30, 4:50, and 5:10pm starting on March 1st. Signup information for these individual sessions will be sent out shortly.

Volley Aces (K-2nd)

Volley-Aces is a weekly 50 minute class designed for boys and girls in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade to develop the motor skills and basic skill set to play volleyball. Drills are designed to teach movement, technique and teamwork.

This class is run by an experienced coach who will ensure a fun and enjoyable experience. Participants are required to wear athletic attire. The net will be lowered and lighter volleyballs will be used.

Sign up for drop-in sessions for $15 if signed up and paid ahead of time, and $20 for walk-ups!

Parent Q&A Session with Jessica Turnbull

Now that we have had our first few tournaments, we know that parents and players have more questions, especially those new to club volleyball. Club Director Jessica Turnbull will be hosting three Drop-in Q&A sessions open to all current players and parents. RSVP is not necessary. Please come with general questions you may have about Cobb Atlanta or this season so far. We hope to see you there!

February Themed Practices

There will be a theme practice the week of 2/11-2/14! The theme will be Valentine's. There will be both a team winner and an individual winner. The prize for the individual will be a gift card to the CAJ Sports store, and the winning team will receive a pizza party! Make sure to post on social media and tag us with the hashtag #iheartcaj

NFL QB Danny Kanell Talk

Join Mount Paran Christian School on February 27 for an exclusive ParentEd. session with special guest Danny Kanell, CBS/Fox Sportscaster. His talk "Raising Athletes: The Good, Bad, and the Ugly" will be held at 7:00 pm in the Knox Athletic Performance Center at Mount Paran Christian School. 


How do competitive athletes find balance while keeping their passion for sports? Mr. Kanell will draw from his vast experience and knowledge of the professional sports world to share tips for developing young athletes within today’s ultra-competitive culture. Parents with athletes competing at any level won’t want to miss this special event. This free event is open to the community! We hope to see you there!

Open Gym

We are offering open gym again this season each Friday from 5-7pm for free. Open gym is only open to current Cobb Atlanta players. There will not be a coach organizing the open gym. We are providing the court space but no coaching instruction is provided. It is up to the players present to determine how they want to utilize the court space available. 

Players are expected to sign-in upon arrival.

SRVA Scholarship for Graduating Seniors

New this year: an application for scholarship money from SRVA is available for graduating seniors! Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale, be a current SRVA member in good standing, and be playing, coaching, or officiating during their senior year. Student-athletes are required to submit an essay (500-750 words) entitled "How Volleyball Has Had a Positive Effect on my Life." Click here for more information.
